On your marks, get set, go… to Las Vegas for the Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon

Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon

On 17 November 2013, Las Vegas will host the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and Half Marathon. In true Vegas style, the race is different from most traditional marathons in that participants run at night. Join runners and well-wishers in this sporting spectacle and see the Strip’s famous lights as competitors thunder across the finishing line.

The race kicks off in the Luxor Festival Lot, and passes various iconic sites along the way including Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower; Fremont Street, Circus Circus and Wynn, before it reaches its most climatic point towards the finish near The Venetian. As the Entertainment Capital of the World, Rock ‘n’ Roll events also host a pre-race concert and other stages are set up along the course to motivate competitors as they run. The line-up has yet to be announced, but a host of rock artists are expected to take centre stage.

Other more quirky entertainment activities include the Pasta Party, Run Thru Wedding Ceremony and Run Vegas as Elvis.

Travel to Las Vegas this November with Sports Tourism International from £199 per person (plus £99 entry fee) for four nights, based on two people sharing.
