Savvy homebuyers looking for a stylish property for an affordable price are being urged not to miss a special event taking place at Taylor Wimpey’s Kingston Chase development in Milton Keynes.

Prospective buyers can find out more about the stunning apartments available under the Government’s popular new Help to Buy scheme at a special event being held on the evening of Thursday 10th October.

Those attending the Help to Buy event can learn more about how they can purchase their ideal home for 80% of its price, including a 5% deposit, and benefit from helpful advice courtesy of Taylor Wimpey’s experienced sales team.

Under Help to Buy, eligible buyers of a two-bedroom apartment, priced £167,500, only require a 5% deposit of £8,375 and a 75% loan-to-value mortgage of £125,625 to secure the stylish property.

With a 20% loan provided by the Government, Help to Buy customers at Kingston Chase could look forward to low monthly mortgage payments of as little as £559.79.

The average cost of renting a similar-sized apartment in Milton Keynes is approximately £795 per month, so using Help to Buy could potentially make purchasing a brand new home at Kingston Chase a more affordable option than living in rented accommodation.

Steve Rolt, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Property-seekers cannot afford to miss this special event at Kingston Chase where they can find out everything they need to know about the Help to Buy incentive.

“There will be experts on hand to offer information and advice about what the scheme means for homebuyers, as well as the fantastic selection of properties we have on sale.”

Under Help to Buy, customers receive a 20% Government loan to help with the purchase of their new home, and there is no salary cap for homebuyers taking advantage of the scheme. It is available to both first-time buyers and those with a property to sell.

There’s a selection of contemporary one and two-bedroom apartments available to purchase at Kingston Chase, with prices starting at just £125,000.

Residents at Kingston Chase are just a few miles from the cultural heart of Milton Keynes town centre, which boasts more than 230 shops, cafes, restaurants and an outdoor market.

The town’s wide selection of leisure and entertainment facilities is also within easy reach by bus or by car, including the National Bowl and Milton Keynes Theatre District, StadiumMK and the Xscape dome, which features an indoor ski slope, a skydiving simulator, a rock-climbing wall, a multiplex cinema, bowling alleys and a health and fitness centre.

For commuters, junction 14 of the M1 is just a few minutes’ drive from home, while Milton Keynes Central railway station operates direct services to London Euston in as little as 35 minutes. Those travelling further afield will appreciate that Luton Airport is only 20 miles from home.

Customers can find out more about stepping on to the property ladder at Kingston Chase by coming along to the Help To Buy evening event on Thursday 10th October from 5pm to 8pm at the Sales Centre, located off Countess Way in Broughton, Milton Keynes, MK10 7EW.
