Charming Chiddingstone Castle near Edenbridge in Kent is the perfect setting to enjoy a pre-Christmas afternoon tea.

The Castle will be opening its lovely ‘White Rose Room’ on Sunday, 17 November and again on Sundays, 1 and 15 December 2013 for visitors to enjoy afternoon tea served on delightful vintage china.

The ‘White Rose Room’, where tea is served, is a tranquil room with beautiful views across the Kent countryside. Visitors can admire the paintings which adorn the walls and include portraits of famous Stuart monarchs.

To avoid any disappointment please book for these special afternoon teas in advance.

Afternoon tea will include a variety of specially prepared homemade sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted cream and a selection of cakes.  Tea and coffee will also be included in the price of £15 per person.  There will be an extra charge if you would like to add to the occasion with a glass of sparkling wine.

The extensive grounds which surround the Castle will be open for walks and include a lake, woodland and award winning Grade II Orangery.  Please wear appropriate footwear for the weather conditions.

The Ancient Egyptian exhibition will be open to visitors taking afternoon tea but please come back next year to visit the rest of the collection when we reopen on 1st April, 2014.
