The Maitlandfield's Incredible Spice Men Package is a real page turner

The Maitlandfield House Hotel in Haddington is spicing up this year’s Lennoxlove Book Festival with a page turning accommodation deal, event tickets and a special edition Piri Piri dish from AA Rosette Head Chef Mark de Freitas.

During the weekend of the Lennoxlove Book Festival (1st-3rd November), guests can stay at this acclaimed three star hotel for just £90 per night B & B*. The package includes two tickets for The Incredible Spice Men event on Saturday 2nd November at 1.30pm.

One of the highlights of the festival, The Incredible Spice Men features chefs Tony Singh and Cyrus Todiwala, who will be talking about their book and BBC TV series.

To tie in with the event, the Maitlandfield’s popular Brasserie menu will include a special edition Chicken Piri Piri dish, infused with a blend of chilli, spices and citrus fruit.

Now in its fifth year, the Lennoxlove Book Festival is a weekend of words, wit and wisdom from some of the UK’s best-known writers and personalities, all set in one of Scotland’s great country houses, just minutes away from Haddington and the Maitlandfield House Hotel. This year’s programme includes Jeremy Paxman, Sir Chris Bonington, Rory Bremner, Patsy Kensit and Peter Snow.

The 17th Century Maitlandfield House Hotel in Haddington has been owned by the de Freitas family since 1999. Set in the heart of Scotland’s Golf Coast, the hotel’s Brasserie offers an inspired menu of simply prepared dishes drawing on the region’s rich larder of fresh produce.
