Expert advice for Liverpool buyers

As housing market improvements continue to make headlines, Redrow is offering to help Liverpool buyers move quickly and simply.

Figures from the Halifax show that average prices are at their highest since September 2008 following nine consecutive months of increases. And with economists forecasting that prices will continue to rise for the next five years buying now could be seen as a shrewd move.

With that in mind, Redrow is holding two events in Liverpool this weekend.

At Cressington Heath on Saturday (October 19) visitors will be able to learn how Help to Buy can make homeownership easier to afford thanks to an equity loan.

Meanwhile at The Avenue at Summerhill Park on Sunday (October 20) those with a property to sell will be able to discover the benefits of using Mastermove to make their next move on the property ladder.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), says: “With so much positive news about the housing market and various industry experts, mortgage lenders surveyors and economists all pointing to signs of recovery, more people are starting to think about buying. This growing consumer confidence has led to an increase in visitors to our already popular Liverpool developments, which in turn has boosted sales.

“At Cressington Heath the equity loan under Help to Buy has made a real difference to people’s ability to buy, reducing the initial outlay by up to 20%. Saturday’s event will be an opportunity for would-be homeowners to discover how the valuable help could enable them to secure one of the final three homes here.

“Over at The Avenue we will be explaining how Mastermove can help you sell your existing property quickly and at full market value, whether you’re moving up the property ladder or downsizing to somewhere more manageable.”

All three of the final properties at Cressington Heath have three bedrooms and an en-suite bathroom. Prices start from £184,995, which reduces to only £147,996 with Help to Buy. The lower price includes a 5% deposit of £9,250 plus a mortgage for £138,746. The remaining 20% share is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

At the Avenue, there’s a choice of three and four-bedroom homes, currently priced from £147,995.

Properties at both locations enjoy a high specification as standard. Kitchens are well equipped with integrated top brand name appliances; while bathrooms and en-suites boast quality fixtures and fittings.

To find out more about Help to Buy, visit Cressington Heath from 11am to 4pm this Saturday.

Or to discover more about Mastermove, head along to The Avenue at Summerhill Park between 11am and 4pm on Sunday.

Details about both developments and the incentives to help get you moving are available at redrow.co.uk.
