Property-seekers need to hurry if they want to be in with a chance of purchasing the home of their dreams at Taylor Wimpey’s stunning Kingwell Rise development near Wincanton.

House-hunters have been making a beeline for this in-demand development in beautiful Somerset, with six new properties already snapped up since the launch of the latest phase of homes three weeks ago.

What’s more, the Government’s Help to Buy shared equity scheme is available at Kingwell Rise, enabling first-time buyers and those with a property to sell to purchase their new home for 80% of its full price, including a deposit as low as 5%.

Charlie Joseph, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Since the new phase of stunning properties was launched at Kingwell Rise, discerning property-seekers have been flocking to this great development to secure a new home, with six being sold in just three weeks!

“With the Government’s Help to Buy scheme available, first-time buyers and existing homeowners are being given a golden opportunity to set up home in this wonderful part of the country.

“The high levels of interest are showing no signs of slowing down, so I would urge anyone looking for a lovely new home here to act without delay – or risk missing out!”

There’s a fantastic range of two-bedroom apartments priced from £105,000, and five-bedroom houses priced from £290,000 at Kingwell Rise.

The Plot 182 ‘Chelmsford’ five-bedroom detached home, for example, is priced at £299,995 and features a living room and a kitchen/breakfast room, both opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a separate dining room and a study off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the first-floor landing leads to a fabulous en-suite master bedroom with dressing area, as well as two further bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room, and a family bathroom. Two bedrooms and a shower room can be found on the top floor, while the property benefits from a tandem double garage and parking outside.

Help to Buy involves a Government loan of up to 20% and is available on new-build homes up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for purchasers taking advantage of the scheme.

Kingwell Rise is located just outside Wincanton and enjoys a rural feel with a welcoming village atmosphere. Street names are inspired by Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels, so purchasers could soon be enjoying life in Peach Pie Street or Treacle Mine Road.

Wincanton, which itself is ‘twinned’ with Discworld’s Ankh-Morpork, is conveniently placed off the A303, one of the main routes connecting the south-west to London. The nearest railway station is just four miles away at Templecombe while the M5 is within easy reach for commuters.

The town is home to Wincanton Racecourse while the High Street boasts a number of independent shops and cafes as well as a library, post office and petrol station.

Parents will appreciate the proximity of two primary schools, Wincanton Primary School and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Primary School, and King Arthur's Community School, Somerset's first specialist Sports College.

Purchasers can find out more about the stunning homes available to buy at Kingwell Rise by visiting the Sales and Information Centre, located in Deanesly Way, Wincanton, Somerset, BA9 9RG, and open Thursday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
