In recent years hen parties have been all about boozing in Benidorm wearing pink sashes and a fake veil, but one North Somerset spa is offering something far more relaxing for brides who want a hen party with a difference.

thespa at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House is gearing up for its busy period as more bridal parties choose pampering over expensive weekends away.

With a package including champagne on arrival, a gift worth £50 for the blushing bride, a luxury lunch on a specially decorated table, full use of the award-winning spa facilities and the option to add a variety of treatments, groups of friends and family are snapping up the chance to spend quality-time together in glamorous surroundings.

Bookings are already piling in for 2014 with some summer dates already fully booked at the award-winning spa. Spa manager Michelle Ferguson said this is down to offering packages which give hens something extra.

Michelle said: “Our hen party packages are extremely popular, and as we can cater for up to 38 people at a time, we have the perfect venue for relaxation with all of your loved ones as a break from the stress of organising a big day.

“Hen parties have become a big business in the past few years and as we offer something a little bit more than a headache and an empty purse, we’re finding women love the idea of a relaxing break. The gift for the bride is just an added extra to make the day special.

“Often brides need to cater for a wide range of ages and tastes, which is why a spa day or break is perfect.”

thespa menu is packed full of glamorous treatments from manicures, pedicures and eyebrow shapes to full treatment packages and a range of results-driven facials. It is also home to the first whisper-soft hydrotherapy foot spa in the UK and uses world-renowned spa brands Pevonia Botanica and Elemis.

Boasting several treatment rooms including a couple’s suite and a pre- and post-treatment relaxation room, visitors to thespa also gain access to the health club facilities including swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fully-equipped gym.

Michelle continued: “Girls love feeling rejuvenated and relaxed and with a venue set within the beautiful grounds of DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House, there is no better place. Groups can stay overnight at the hotel if they wish or often, they will come to the spa to get glammed up and then head out.

“Some dates in March and June are already fully booked so brides keen for a pre-wedding pampering should get in touch soon.”

Hen party packages start from £35 per person. For more information about this luxury venue visit theclubandspabristol.co.uk.
