The luxury homes in Kent defying local housing market trends

As property prices in Kent continue to soar, newly-built homes in Faversham could save local house hunters thousands of pounds and months of stress.

Figures from home.co.uk show that asking prices across the historic market town jumped almost 20% over the past year, as demand for commuter bases outside of London continues to grow.

It means that the average four-bedroom house in Faversham is now priced at £427,854 – a rise of almost 12% since November 2012.

Fortunately, for ambitious upsizers looking for that perfect family home, Redrow’s newly built Davington Park venture is offering fantastic four-bedroom designs starting at just £329,995 – a saving of almost £100,000 on the average local asking price.

One of these designs, the superb York home, is a traditional townhouse with three storeys of space and luxury. With spectacular views over a fishing lake, the house boasts both an en suite to the master bedroom and an open plan kitchen and dining room.

With the average house in Faversham spending almost six months on the market before being sold, all those interested in a home at Davington Park could have their existing house snapped up in just seven days.

As part of an exclusive Redrow deal called Part Exchange, house hunters can have their home independently valued and could then receive a cash offer from Redrow within a week. The scheme removes all housing chains and there are no costly estate agents fees.

Elsewhere at Davington Park, a development of apartments and family homes, is the stunning Harrogate design. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts era, the property delivers the finest in 21st Century contemporary living with a traditional architectural twist. Available in an attractive brick and render finish, the home features four double bedrooms and plenty of storage space inside – including a downstairs cloaks and utility room.

Both the York and Harrogate homes are currently available for house hunters to see inside following the recent launch of a new show home for both designs.

Meanwhile, with all of the homes at Davington Park priced at under £600,000, house hunters also have the option of taking advantage of the excellent Help to Buy scheme.

The Government initiative means that every home at the development can be purchased with just a 5% deposit. Purchasers would then cover the remaining costs with a 20% equity loan from the government and a 75% mortgage from a lender of their choosing.

To find out more about the homes at this development, or the help on offer to local house hunters, all those interested can visit redrow.co.uk/davington. Alternatively, they can visit the homes on Oare Road Thursday to Monday between 10am and 5.30pm.
