Savvy property-seekers can find out how the Government’s Help to Buy shared equity scheme could enable them to snap up their ideal home at a special event at Taylor Wimpey’s Longford Park development near Banbury on Saturday 25th January.

Under Help to Buy, purchasers can secure a Government loan for 20% of their new home’s full price – meaning they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a 5% deposit.

Would-be buyers can learn more about this fantastic scheme and by coming along to the special Help to Buy event at Longford Park, the leading housebuilder’s stylish new development in the village of Bodicote. Property-seekers will also get the chance to speak to an independent financial advisor between 10am and 1pm.

Darren McCormack, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “There is a superb selection of homes to choose from at Longford Park and prospective purchasers will find that bagging one of these properties is much easier and more affordable than they might think thanks to Help to Buy.

“I would urge house-hunters to come along to our special event on Saturday 25th January where they can find out everything they need to know about this incredible initiative.”

Help to Buy is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000 and there is no salary cap for homebuyers taking advantage of the scheme.

There is a choice of three and four-bedroom homes currently available to buy at Longford Park, priced from £265,000.

The four-bedroom Plot 28 ‘Monkford’ detached house, priced £320,000, for example, boasts a light and airy living room, opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a kitchen/dining room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside there’s a garage and driveway parking.

Set in an ideal location within the picturesque village of Bodicote, Longford Park offers the perfect combination of beautiful countryside and a relaxed lifestyle.

Banbury’s thriving town centre is just two miles away, and offers a wealth of great independent shops, designer stores, a twice-weekly market and an array of pubs and restaurants.

Longford Park is ideally located for commuters, with the M40 within easy reach and Banbury railway station offering regular services to London, Birmingham, Leamington and Oxford.

Families will also appreciate the choice of schools for all ages within close proximity of the new homes, including Bishop Loveday Church of England Primary School, which was rated ‘good’ in its latest Ofsted inspection.

House-hunters who want to find out more about Help to Buy can come along to the special event on Saturday 25th January between 10am and 5pm at the Sales Information Centre, located off Oxford Road, Bodicote, Banbury, OX15 4AB. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
