Ski Armadillo introduces the ultimate ski App

29th January 2014 Print

Functions include guiding guests back to their chalets’ amongst other unique features - Useful post Apres-ski!

Life has just become a lot easier for winter enthusiasts visiting the ski resort of Verbier. The Ski Armadillo App launched this week is absolutely free and has several unique features that have previously been unavailable all in one App.

It is the first time that an App will allow guests instant access to 360 degree Verbier webcams showing the most up to date conditions. There is also GPS tracking to record distance travelled, top speed, height gained/lost etc.

Through the App users are able to locate themselves on the resort piste map and replay their day on Google Earth, viewing the routes that they have taken. However, what could come in particularly handy off the slopes is the function that directs guests back to the Ski Armadillo chalets from various bars and restaurants across Verbier – extremely handy after a few vin chauds.

Other useful features include a Verbier village map with location of bars and restaurants, weather and snow conditions, live lift status, useful numbers and a dinner menu for what tasty feast is being served up in the chalet that evening. There are also live newsfeeds keeping guests abreast of the latest activities and events taking place in Verbier this winter.

Ski Armadillo has been established in the Swiss resort of Verbier for 12 years. Offering twelve luxury chalets sleeping between four and sixteen people, the company prides itself in offering excellent food, superb skiing and unrivalled service. The App was developed by Dogfish Mobile.
