Let Persimmon exchange your home this year

16th February 2014 Print

Prospective buyers waiting for the sale of their property are being encouraged to act now to make their dream of a ‘new year, new home’ a reality.

Persimmon Homes aims to take some of the hassle out of moving house for customers who opt for one of their part exchange schemes.

Elaine Stratford, sales director at Persimmon Homes Thames Valley, explains how buying a new home can help to sell an existing one: “The new year often sparks a desire for a fresh start in a new home. There are lots of incentives for first time buyers, but we find that further up the chain people are desperate to move but may feel ‘stuck’ or unable to move from their existing property.

“We have two schemes available to assist people in this situation; Home Change and Part Exchange.

“With Home Change, we use all of our expertise and contacts to help you sell your current property. We arrange two valuations, agree a price and then market the property on your behalf. There are no estate agent fees or headaches – everything is taken care of. Most importantly you can secure the plot of choice whilst we help find a buyer for an existing property.

“For those qualifying for the full Persimmon Homes Part Exchange scheme, things couldn’t be more straightforward. Within five days of visiting our development we provide an internet based guide price, we get two valuations from local agents and we agree a price by the end of the week. With fast access to the property it can be done even sooner and if the property is known to us or has had appraisals already, we can even make an offer on the same day.

“We base our offer on current market prices and we undertake to cover the cost of the estate agent fees, so that headache of a large bill coming in after you’ve moved in can been totally removed.”

With a range of two, three, four and five bedroom properties across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Greater London there is something to suit everyone from young professionals to couples and growing families alike.

As well as part exchange schemes Persimmon Homes also offer Help to Buy, the Government-backed scheme where only a 5% deposit is needed, which can be used in conjunction with Home Change.

Elaine adds: “To find out what schemes are available to make the dream of owning a new home a reality, call in to see the sales advisor on your nearest development. They will explain the full terms and conditions of the schemes, help you decide which is best for you, based on your circumstances, and provide advice and support every step of the way.”
