Discerning buyers in Kent have been snapping up the chance to get Help to Buy a brand new home at Taylor Wimpey’s Meadow View development in Herne Bay.

The Government’s Help to Buy shared equity scheme is available at this popular development, enabling eligible buyers to secure a Government loan for up to 20% of the full price of their new home – so they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%

Homes in this lovely seaside location are proving extremely popular with savvy purchasers, who have moved quickly to secure their pick of the plots with this fantastic incentive.

Jason Stokes, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Help to Buy is helping purchasers in a whole range of circumstances move on to – or up – the property ladder and the scheme has been particularly successful at Meadow View.

“I’d therefore urge anyone hoping to join the savvy buyers who’ve already snapped up their dream home with Help to Buy at Meadow View to act now, or risk missing out on their perfect property!”

There’s a superb selection of properties currently available at Meadow View, including three-bedroom homes from £194,500 and a choice of four-bedroom designs, including the ‘Iris’ detached house from £268,995.

The plot 206 ‘Iris’ comprises a living room with bay window, a kitchen/breakfast area, a dining room, a study and a guest cloakroom on the ground floor, plus two en-suite bedrooms, two further bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Outside the property benefits from an internal garage and two parking spaces.

Help to Buy is available on selected new-build homes up to the value of £600,000 and there is no salary cap for purchasers taking advantage of the scheme.

Meadow View enjoys an excellent location close to Blue Flag beaches and within easy reach of Herne Bay’s shops, boutiques, cafés and restaurants.

The town is also a hive of sporting and cultural activity, including an annual arts festival, a cinema, a boating lake, water sports, cricket, golf, hockey, bowls and football, while a roller skating rink can be found on the pier.

Meanwhile, the railway station provides regular services to London Victoria, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate, Whitstable, Faversham, Gillingham and Rochester, while the historic city of Canterbury, the Channel ports and Eurostar services are all within easy reach by road.

To find out why Help to Buy at Meadow View is proving so popular, homebuyers can visit the Sales and Marketing Suite, located off Talmead Road, Herne Bay, CT6 6NW, and open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
