Recruitment drive as confidence in housing market grows

18th February 2014 Print

A major recruitment drive has been launched by a leading regional housebuilder as they lay the foundations for a strong 2014.

Greater levels of mortgage lending, growing consumer confidence and the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme have all contributed to a rise in sales in the housing market on a national scale.

Persimmon Homes has recently reported a 21% jump in full-year revenues and now its North Midlands region is looking ahead to the next 12 months with a positive outlook based on its achievements.

They are currently building across 22 sites in the region, with more developments in the pipeline.

In order to keep up with demand, Persimmon Homes North Midlands has now launched a recruitment drive for experienced and trainee sales advisors.

Sherrie Hankin, head of sales for Persimmon Homes North Midlands, said: “Due to the improving housing market and the start of a number of new developments, we are looking to appoint experienced personnel as well as trainees.

“I am looking for someone with a great personality, who is driven, not necessarily by selling, but to succeed. They must also have honesty and be aspirational and want to do something with their lives.

“Nationally there is a shortage of construction workers, but we have a great team here and are looking for talented people to join us. The positions offer excellent career opportunities, as well as attractive remuneration packages and other benefits.

“Anyone applying to us will know that they can have a good career with us and finding someone genuine is important to us.”

Sherrie added: “There are some very exciting months ahead for us in this region. We have always believed in investing in skills and we know that the North Midlands is full of people that pride themselves on doing an excellent job and we want to hear from them.”
