MBNA and Virgin Atlantic sign new UK credit card partnership

Virgin Atlantic and MBNA have signed a new five year UK credit card partnership and have enhanced their leading Virgin Atlantic Black Credit Card Account for eligible new customers.
 
The signing of a new bilateral agreement takes the successful partnership between the two British-based firms to the end of 2018.

The Virgin Atlantic Black Credit Card Account
 
The Virgin Atlantic Black Credit Card Account comes with an annual fee of £140 and now offers new customers successfully applying by Monday, 31 March 2014 up to 25,000 bonus miles (18,500 on their first card purchase with either card and a further 6,500 bonus miles if they spend a total of £2,000 across the two cards – both within 90 days of opening the account by 31 March). Twenty five thousand miles allows customers to upgrade their next Economy flight to Upper Class or enjoy three return trips with Virgin Atlantic Little Red.
 
With the American Express-branded card, accepted at millions of locations worldwide, new customers can earn two Flying Club miles for every £1 they spend on every day card purchases, or four Flying Club miles for every £1 they spend direct with Virgin Atlantic and via telephone with Virgin Holidays. Customers can upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy when spending £5,000 on the card in a year (maximum two upgrades per year, terms apply) and a Companion reward flight when spending £7,500 on the card in a year and buying a qualifying full fare flight (taxes and charges apply, terms apply).
 
With their Visa card, with unsurpassed acceptance across the world, new customers can earn one Flying Club mile for every £2 they spend on every day card purchases, or two Flying Club miles for every £1 they spend direct with Virgin Atlantic and via telephone with Virgin Holidays.
 
The account offers zero percent on balance transfers for up to six months from the date the account is opened (2 percent handling fee applies).

The Virgin Atlantic White Credit Card Account
 
The Virgin Atlantic White Credit Card Account comes with no annual fee and offers new customers successfully applying by Monday, 31 March 2014 up to 10,000 bonus miles (3,000 on their first card purchase with either card and a further 7,000 bonus miles if they spend a total of £1,000 across the two cards – both within 90 days of opening the account by 31 March). Ten thousand miles allows customers to upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy.
 
With their American Express card, accepted at millions of locations worldwide, new customers can earn one Flying Club mile for every £1 they spend on every day card purchases, or two Flying Club miles for every £1 they spend direct with Virgin Atlantic and via telephone with Virgin Holidays.
