Aspiring homeowners are being offered the chance to swap rented accommodation for their very own dream home at Taylor Wimpey’s Saddlers Brook development in Walsall – and potentially save money in the process!

The Help to Buy shared equity scheme is now available at Saddlers Brook, allowing eligible purchasers the chance to secure a Government loan of up to 20% of the full price of their new home – meaning they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

The average monthly cost of renting a three-bedroom property in the WS4 postcode area, for example, is £545, yet with three-bedroom homes priced from just £154,995 at Saddlers Brook, customers could find home ownership is more affordable than renting.

Elaine Taylor, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Many people living in rented accommodation wrongly assume that the first rung of the property ladder is out of their reach, either because they think they’ll need a huge deposit or because they’re concerned they won’t be able to afford the mortgage – or both.

“Help to Buy eliminates the need for big deposits and allows customers to benefit from a lower loan-to-value mortgage as well. That means home ownership isn’t just achievable for many would-be buyers – it could also work out to be cheaper than the cost of their monthly rent!”

Help to Buy is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for customers taking advantage of the scheme and it is available to both first-time buyers and those with a property to sell.

The three-bedroom ‘Kingsford’ house, priced from only £154,995, is just one of the high-quality homes available under Help to Buy at Saddlers Brook. Ideal for families, it features a spacious living/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a contemporary kitchen and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside, the property benefits from allocated parking.

Alternative three-bedroom designs are priced from only £174,995 at Saddlers Brook.

All homes at the development are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

Saddlers Brook enjoys a highly desirable location bordering woodland and green open spaces, with the picturesque Ford Brook running through its heart.

The development offers convenient access to Rushall’s community facilities including schools for children of all ages, shops, pubs, a medical centre as well as green open spaces and play areas. To the north is some fine countryside with pleasant walks, particularly along Rushall Canal, which forms part of the historic Birmingham Canal Navigations.

Just two miles away is Walsall town centre, which boasts good education, health, transport, leisure and arts facilities, while the vibrant city of Birmingham is located within easy reach of home.

To leave renting behind for a brand new home at Saddlers Brook, property-seekers can visit the Sales and Marketing Suite, located off Cartbridge Lane South, Walsall, WS4 1SB and open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
