Wanting a bigger home in a better area are among the top reasons people plan to move and Fern Lea in Farndon scores highly on both fronts.

Research suggests that one in four people in the UK plans to move this year with many citing the need for more space or ambitions of living somewhere nicer.

For those who aspire to move to a charming Cheshire village help is at hand from Elan Homes. The developer is offering a range of incentives designed to make moving to Fern Lea in Farndon simple and straight forward.

Homeowners could benefit from Elan’s EasyMove service to sell the home they want to move from or even part exchange their existing property towards the cost of a new one.

There’s even the chance to reduce the cost of owning a brand new home via the Government’s Help to buy equity loan scheme.

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, says: “Confidence in the housing market is continuing to grow, leading more people to think about moving. But while people want to buy they may feel they won’t be able if they have a house to sell or don’t have a substantial deposit. We want to break down what are perceived to be barriers to moving and have a range of schemes designed to do just that. For example our EasyMove scheme enlists the services of estate agents to sell the customer’s home, with Elan paying the agent’s fees once the deal is complete. Or we may even take the client’s property as part payment.

“Alternatively taking out a Help to Buy equity loan is a great way for people to make their money go further and could make a real difference to their buying power.”

Available on selected properties only, part exchange sees Elan effectively act as a cash buyer for the client’s home leaving them free to move onwards and upwards without worrying about getting caught in a chain. Customers will even be able to stay in their old home until their new one is ready and Elan will even pay the agent’s fees.

There are no fewer than six different styles of four-bedroom homes available at Fern Lea.

Each one will be finished to the same high standard with quality fixtures and fittings including integrated kitchen appliances such as oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer. Master bedrooms benefits from fitted wardrobes and the modern day essential en-suite.

Current prices at Fern Lea start from £289,995 for an Alston style property. A Help to Buy equity loan is available and could make the ownership of the home more affordable. For example, a Help to Buy loan of 20% of the price, could see the initial cost of the Alston reduced to £231,995. The Government loan is interest free for five years.

Located on Barton Road, the homes are within easy reach of good local amenities including shops, a post office, doctor’s surgery, schools and a weekly country market.

There are some well-regarded restaurants and gastro pubs in the area. For those who want to enjoy a round of golf or other leisure activities, Carden Park Golf Resort is just a few minutes’ drive away.
