Home-hunters looking for a brand new place by the sea will have to hurry if they want to choose one of the final homes at Taylor Wimpey’s popular Peninsula development in Dovercourt, Essex.

Discerning property-seekers have wasted little time in taking their pick from the choice of stunning homes at this sought-after development, and there’s now just eight apartments remaining for sale.

With prices starting from as little as £82,995, and the Help to Buy equity loan scheme also available at Peninsula, home-hunters need to be quick if they want to bag a bargain beside the seaside.

Help to Buy enables first-time buyers and those looking to move home to secure a Government loan for up to 20% of their new home’s full price – meaning they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

Caroline Carter, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Peninsula has been a big hit with buyers and our high-quality homes look set to sell out very soon.

“Clued-up buyers have continued to flock here, proving there simply is no substitute for stylish homes in a desirable location at great-value prices. Anyone hoping to join them by choosing one of the final apartments here should hurry to avoid missing out!”

Each apartment at Peninsula has been thoughtfully designed to maximise space and natural light and would ideally suit first-time buyers or downsizers. Selected plots boast en-suite master bedrooms and/or attractive balconies with views of the Stour shoreline.

The one-bedroom ‘Maldon’ apartment, priced from £82,995, features an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room, a master bedroom and a main bathroom, while outside, there is allocated parking.

Alternatively, two-bedroom apartment designs include the ‘Frinton’, priced from £94,995 and the ‘Kirby’ from £96,995.

All of the new homes at Peninsula are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with an integrated oven, hob and hood.

Help to Buy is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000, and there is no salary cap for homebuyers taking advantage of this scheme.

Peninsula offers homebuyers an enviable lifestyle close to Blue Flag beaches, a wealth of restaurants, bars and cafes, a weekly market and monthly farmers’ market plus a great choice of shops, including an Asda supermarket on the doorstep.

In addition to windsurfing and a wide range of watersports, Dovercourt Leisure Centre in Low Road offers a swimming pool and solarium, fitness suite and floodlit pitch, while there are also local facilities for football, rugby, cricket and tennis.

Commuters will appreciate that Dovercourt Railway Station is only half a mile from home, offering regular services to Colchester in 30 minutes, Chelmsford in 60 minutes, and London Liverpool Street in 90 minutes. Road links are also excellent, with the A120 to Colchester close by, and Stansted Airport only 50 miles away.

To find out more about snapping up one of the final apartments at Peninsula, prospective purchasers can visit the Sales Information Centre, located at Heron Way, Dovercourt, Essex, CO12 3FD, and open daily from 10am to 5pm (Mondays 1.30pm to 5pm). Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
