Final countdown of new homes in Hardingstone

Scoring top marks for location, traditional architecture and family friendly interiors, new homes in Hardingstone are in a class of their own.

Featuring just 38 homes for private sale, Scholars Place has proved a resounding success since launching last year, chalking up an average weekly sales rate of one home a week.

Now, with only five properties still available including the showhomes, buyers could soon find they’ve failed to secure a move to the popular Redrow development.

Helen McGill, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “Scholars Place has been a grade A winner with buyers who love the idea of living in a traditional looking home in a beautiful village setting but without the repairs and maintenance that an older property is likely to need. Our Heritage Collection homes offer all that and more – they’re easy to manage, efficient to run and boast a high specification as standard.

“It’s no surprise that in just nine months we’ve sold the majority of homes and are now fast approaching a sell-out. We’ve even released the showhomes for sale giving two lucky buyers the chance to own a professionally styled readymade home.”

The final homes available at Scholars Place include a choice of three and four-bedroom properties. Prices start from £238,950 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Letchworth in the same style as one of the showhomes.

On the ground floor of the Letchworth there’s a lounge to the front, open plan kitchen and dining room with French doors opening onto the rear garden, plus a laundry and downstairs cloaks.

A curved staircase leads to the first floor, where the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite while the remaining two bedrooms share the family bathroom.

Help to Buy is available on all new homes at Scholars Place offering buyers the chance to take out an equity loan for up to 20% of the price. Crucially the loan is interest free for five years. Using Help to Buy, a Letchworth could be bought for an initial outlay of only £191,160.

“With such limited availability at Scholars Place buyers really do need to act fast. Help to Buy could make a real difference to their buying power as typically those who use the scheme should only need a relatively small deposit of around 5% of the purchase price,” Helen adds.

“The good news is that while we’re approaching a sell-out here, later on in the year we will be launching a new development in nearby Moulton. Carey Fields, in Northampton Lane North, will offer buyers a further chance to own a stylish new home from our Heritage Collection, with a choice of everything from two-bedroom properties to substantial five-bedroom detached homes.”

To be in with a chance of moving to Scholars Place, visit the showhomes and sales office, open daily from10am to 5.30pm.
