Leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey will invest more than £35,000 in sports facilities for the benefit of the local community in St Agnes, Cornwall, as part of its new Drovers Way development in the village.

This stunning collection of 74 properties offers a choice of four, five and six-bedroom homes in a superb location close to the striking Cornish coastline.

Taylor Wimpey will be contributing almost £20,000 to nearby St Agnes Sports Club to fund the replacement of its old changing rooms with a purpose-built facility, and investing £14,000 in new nets and improvements to the pedestrian access at Mount Hawke and Porthtowan Cricket Club.

A further £1,893 will also be spent on an outdoor concrete table tennis table at St Agnes Tennis Club.

Janine Copleston, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “As a responsible housebuilder, we are committed to investing in the local communities in which we build, and we’re delighted to be supporting these sports clubs in the St Agnes area.

“We hope these fantastic new facilities will be enjoyed by the existing residents of St Agnes and the new residents of our Drovers Way development for many years to come.”

There’s a choice of homes available to buy now at Drovers Way, including four-bedroom houses priced from £349,995, five-bedroom properties from £399,995 and six-bedroom homes from £429,995.

The six-bedroom ‘Kennilworth’ detached home, for example, is priced from £429,995 and boasts a well-proportioned living room and a spacious kitchen/dining/breakfast room opening through two sets of French doors to the private rear garden, with a family room and a guest cloakroom completing the ground-floor layout.

Upstairs, the first-floor landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms and a main bathroom, while an en-suite guest bedroom and an additional bedroom can be found on the top floor. There’s also a double garage and driveway parking for two cars outside.

The new homes at Drovers Way are based on the site of the former South West Film Studios and enjoy stunning views across the surrounding countryside. The shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants of St Agnes are a short walk from home, while a wider selection of High Street shops and leisure facilities can be found in nearby Truro.

Families will appreciate that there’s a choice of two primary schools within two miles of home, St Agnes School and Mithian School, which were both rated ‘good’ in their latest Ofsted inspections.

The development is within easy reach of the A30 for commuters, while a bus service runs to Truro, Newquay and Redruth railway stations for direct services to Penzance, Plymouth and London Paddington.
