Residents at Taylor Wimpey’s popular Mawsley Village community in Northamptonshire can now enjoy 12 acres of public open space right on their doorstep after the land was donated by the leading housebuilder.

The green spaces, which include open fields for dog walking, a village garden with pond area, and an ‘eco-meadow’, have been transferred to Kettering Borough Council to maintain.

Mawsley Village is a stunning development of around 750 homes together with a school, a community centre, a medical centre, a shop and a pub, providing a slice of idyllic rural life in the heart of Northamptonshire.

Mariana Knight, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Mawsley Village has become a fantastic self-contained community benefiting from a whole host of day-to-day amenities – and now residents have 12 acres of fabulous public open space to enjoy.

“From open meadows for dog walking, to the lovely village garden where families can go pond dipping, there is a wealth of green space on offer for our residents.

“As a responsible housebuilder, we know our communities need to deliver not just high-quality new-build homes but also the facilities and infrastructure alongside them.

“This donation of public open space for the benefit of local residents is the finishing touch to what has become a stunning new rural community.”

The leading housebuilder’s Mawsley Village development is now sold out, but there is a wide range of stunning new-build homes available to buy now at the following developments across Northamptonshire:

Apple Blossom Crescent, Northampton
Countess Manor, Moulton
The Wheatfields, Burton Latimer
