London rooftop events venue The Deck is thrilled to announce the launch today of London Breakfast Meetings Week (6–10 October 2014), a campaign designed to highlight the benefits of meeting and doing business in the morning.

The campaign launch is inspired by the increase The Deck has seen in the number of bookings and enquiries for breakfast meetings in the last six months.

Highlighting the value of breakfast meetings, London Breakfast Meetings Week will encourage businesses to combine the most important meal of the day with a meeting, capturing colleagues and employees when they are at their sharpest and most mentally receptive. According to existing research carried out by Microsoft Office, people are most productive at 10.01am on Mondays and according to similar research carried out by LondonOffices.com,10:26 am is the most productive time of day.

As part of this new week promoting London breakfast meetings, The Deck has initiated a survey to establish the true value of breakfast meetings.

Culminating in the launch of The London Breakfast Meetings Report, at a special event on 8th October, during London Breakfast Meetings Week, the survey is now open for completion by anyone who has attended or hosted a breakfast meeting, conference or event in London.

London venues are also encouraged to help promote this new London-centric week using the free marketing toolkit The Deck will launch at the beginning of June.

Charley Taylor-Smith, head of Hospitality Events and Commercial Business Development at The Deck and Chairman of South Bank Venues says: “We’re launching London Breakfast Meetings Week as we have noticed an increase in breakfast meeting enquiries and are keen to commission some new research to find out what really are the benefits of holding early morning events. We are encouraging other London venues and meeting and event professionals to get involved and we will be releasing the research results to the events industry in October.

“The results will aid event planners in their decisions on when and why they should host breakfast meetings, and will shed light on whether breakfast events cause less disruption than meetings held later in the day, whether eating breakfast increases efficiency at work and whether people want more of the meetings they attend to be held in the morning.”

To thank survey participants for their time, they will be entered into an exclusive prize draw to win a breakfast hamper packed full of delicious goodies including: freshly squeezed juices, homemade croissants and pastries and mounds of The Deck’s granola mix with yoghurt. This will be delivered to the winning person’s office after the winner is announced 8th October.
