The Help to Buy scheme is proving to be very popular at Countryside’s award winning Kings Park development in Harold Wood, Essex, where 42% of buyers have used the Government initiative so far. Of those, 59% were first time buyers.

Monarch Court, is the latest collection of superb one and two bedroom apartments that boast a great specification and easy transport links into London. First time buyers will be delighted to hear that prices for a one bedroom start from £200,000, which is currently £27,050 less than the average price for the two bedroom property in Harold Wood, according to leading property portal nestoria.co.uk .

Andrew Loveday, Sales and Marketing Director at Countryside comments: “It’s no surprise that Help to Buy has been popular here as Kings Park is an attractive place for first time buyers to secure a new home and get onto the property ladder. From 2018, Crossrail will be available from Harold Wood Station, making the apartments a fantastic long-term investment.”

“All of the apartments at Monarch Court are available with Help to Buy, which means first time buyers only need to raise a 5% deposit. The Government will then provide an equity loan of up to 20% of the purchase price, interest free for the first five years, all of which helps to boost the deposit total, and make monthly mortgage repayments more affordable.”

The apartments at Monarch Court are designed with a range of layouts for contemporary living. The spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen areas provide a perfect place to entertain guests, with full height glazing that open up the room by offering plenty of natural light.

All bedrooms are well laid out and master bedrooms include fitted wardrobes. In the two bedroom properties, many of the master bedrooms include en-suite shower rooms. The kitchens are fitted with contemporary units of gloss white and wood finish, with dark grey ceramic floor tiles and integrated SMEG appliances such as an oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

Bathrooms come complete with white sanitaryware and chrome accessories. Residents also benefit from car parking and cycle storage facilities as well as audio/video entry phone systems for high levels of security.

The adjacent Harold Wood Station boasts an excellent journey time into London Liverpool Street of just 35 minutes. From 2018 buyers will benefit from the introduction of Crossrail which will be available from Harold Wood Station and bring forward even faster journeys into and across London, all the way to Heathrow Airport and beyond. Harold Wood also benefits from two London bus routes, both of which accept Oyster, that take residents into surrounding towns such as Hornchurch for the District Line and Romford for shopping at the Liberty Shopping Centre. The road links are superb too with the A127 and A12 just a few minutes from Kings Park, both with access to the M25 for onward travel.

Kings Park enjoys a great range of local amenities including a Post Office, supermarket, travel agent, several hairdressers, a bakery and a restaurant. The development is surrounded by a plethora of countryside, woodland and parks including Harold Wood Park, offering expansive woodland and open grassland as well as sports facilities including football, mini golf, tennis and a multi-use games area. Bedfords Park and Weald Country Park are also close by.
