Music and art at Valletta’s historic Phoenicia Hotel

As part of the Malta Jazz Festival 2014, Phoenicia Hotel in Valletta will be hosting a Jazz on the Fringe event in July, along with an art installation by renowned Maltese artist and musician Charles ‘City’ Gatt, the festival’s founder.

On Wednesday 16th July hotel guests and visitors can enjoy an evening of jazz under the stars, with an acclaimed jazz trio playing in the Rotunda, set amidst the hotel’s 7.5 acres of exquisite gardens and overlooking the harbour.

Throughout the same week, a contemporary installation entitled ‘Freedom Fighters’ by Gatt will be on display in the hotel’s Palm Court Lounge to mark the festival and fringe events.

The Malta Jazz Festival will run from 17th to 19th July at Ta Liesse on Valletta’s waterfront, whilst the fringe events will be taking place in hotels, bars and restaurants across the island. Find out more at maltajazzfestival.org
