Last chance to buy at the Strada in Edinburgh

10th July 2014 Print

There are just two apartments now available for sale at ‘The Strada’ in North Fettes, Edinburgh – signalling the end of an incredible ten years of construction.

Buyers have the choice of a two bedroom apartment for just £166,000 or a three bedroom apartment for just £210,000 – both plots include carpets and a fully fitted kitchen including appliances.

Formerly a Parsons Peebles factory, construction of the development began in 2004, and over the course of a decade the team has delivered a total of 654 homes – 557 apartments in 15 blocks and 97 townhouses.

The Strada is now home to hundreds of owners – many of whom made this their first step onto the property ladder. Karen Armstrong is sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland: “This is an exciting stage of the development for our construction team, and of course everyone involved in this extensive development in North Fettes.

“There are only a few other developments of this size and scale in the Capital, and there’s a real sense of achievement for everyone involved in this project as we near completion.

“We know that many of the original buyers are still owners, whilst others have moved on and up the ladder but there is a real sense of community at The Strada. There are members of the same family living across the development, and friends who’ve bought here on recommendation of friends who’d already moved-in.

Inspired by the Italian for ‘street’ - The Strada is a joint venture between Bett Homes and Taylor Wimpey and is a flourishing development situated off Ferry Road, in North Fettes. The bustle and energy of Stockbridge is just minutes away, whilst the tranquillity of neighbouring Trinity creates a living environment at The Strada that offers the best of all worlds.

Karen adds: “The Strada is a real alternative for people who are currently renting and perhaps could consider buying their own flat. This really is buyers’ last chance to buy an apartment within the final apartment block at The Strada, and I’d encourage buyers who’ve been considering a move to this development to visit the sales office before they miss out.”
