For many home buyers, personalising a new home can be a daunting task. According to Topps Tiles , home buyers confronted with the new home ‘blank canvas’ should plan well and invest wisely in feature items such as flooring and lighting that are not often changed. The Paddocks from Bellway Homes helps purchasers make their home their own, with the Additions package, customising features that include flooring, kitchen equipment and even a home audio system.

The Paddocks is an attractive collection of two, three, four and five bedroom homes in Ashingdon, Essex. The homes are adjacent to the Crouch Valley, which provides an impressive backdrop to a modern village lifestyle with superb connections.

Speaking about the Additions package, Paul Timson, sales manager of Bellway Homes Essex says: “Before people move into their new Bellway home at The Paddocks they have the chance to personalise it to reflect their own tastes. Whether it’s something simple like specific tiles in the bathroom, to a complete furniture and interiors package, Additions takes away the hassle of DIY and decoration, providing a smooth move into an individually styled new home.”

Currently available at The Paddocks are a number of detached five bedroom houses. The Warwick house type, priced from £434,995 is an example of the homes available and is perfectly suited to a family with growing children.

Designed across three storeys, the detached Warwick house type provides a master bedroom and second double bedroom, family bathroom and a study or single bedroom on the first floor, and two further large double bedrooms and bathroom on the second floor. The master bedroom includes a large fitted wardrobe and en suite bathroom with white Roca sanitaryware and ceramic tiles.

The accommodation also includes a formal dining room, some of which have a bay window, a large living room with doors leading to the garden and a spacious kitchen/family room. The cloakroom and utility room are discreetly positioned so the functional elements of the home do not intrude into the general living space.

The fully fitted kitchen comes complete with a stainless steel integrated AEG double oven with gas hob, hood and stainless steel splashback, AEG integrated fridge/freezer & dishwasher.

Ashingdon has its own primary school, with Holt Farm Infant and Junior, Saint Teresa’s Catholic Primary, and King Edmund Senior schools all nearby. The village hall at the heart of community hosts social events, dance-classes and art groups, quiz nights and tumble-tots especially for the little ones. King George’s playing field provides football and cricket pitches and an adventure playground.

Nearby Clements Hall Leisure Complex offers first-class facilities with swimming pool, spin studio and squash courts, fitness classes, sports camps and spa. Golf has wonderful settings at Ballards Gore and Rochford Hundred Clubs - in an area perfect for outdoor activities from cycling, walking and rambling to horse-rides along leafy lanes, bridleways and tracks around Ashingdon.

The Paddocks is surrounded by stunning coastal countryside and ancient woodland. Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park is popular with walkers, runners and cyclists, whilst the Magnolia Park Nature Reserve and Parkland is a haven for wildlife all-year-round. The tidal River Crouch offers creeks, coastal footpaths, sailing yachts and wind-surfing and boat trips to glimpse seal colonies.

Rochford’s frequent services into London Liverpool Street take about 54 minutes, while road links are excellent with the A127 and A130 easily accessed, and London Southend Airport is only three miles away.
