Miller Homes Midlands is celebrating a successful start to 2014 with many buyers moving into its developments across the region.

Property sales are up 17 per cent on the same period last year, with detached homes proving to be the most popular.

It comes after Miller Homes announced plans to build 450 new homes across the Midlands over the next 12 months to meet the growing demand from house hunters.

In the West Midlands, the award-winning house builder is developing five new sites across the region including Elgar Grange in Worcester, Doves Keep in Tutbury and Sutton Goldings in Kidderminster, which are already proving popular with potential buyers.

Paul Walters, associate director at Miller Homes Midlands said: “It has been a great start to the year across all of our developments and we are in a really strong position and are excited and confident for the future.

“We already have three new sites up and running in the West Midlands and there are two more to come between now and the start of next year. These are spread across some great locations and we expect demand will be as high as the new sites already launched.”

Amongst the sites still to come is Mounts Chase on Aqueduct Road in Shirley which will see 100 new homes being built and Arden Fields in Knowle where 88 new properties will developed. The start of 2015 will also see a development of 30 new homes on land in Clifton-on-Teme.

Paul added: “The new developments will offer a range of two, three and four-bedroom properties which will give house buyers in the region even more choice with greater availability.

“We’re looking forward to the second half of the year which is on course to be another success story for Miller Homes Midlands.”

Miller Homes currently has active developments in the region covering Coventry, Kidderminster, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
