With work on a new development in Market Weighton due to start soon - savvy home hunters can register their interest now with a view to snapping up their preferred property from plan.

Linden Homes North is expanding its property portfolio in East Yorkshire with this latest 98 two, three and four-bedroom housing scheme.

Prices at the development - named Bradley Meadow, in memory of the 7ft 9 inch tall ‘Yorkshire Giant’ William Bradley - have yet to be finalised, but there will be plenty of design choice for everyone from first time buyers, young professionals, families or those looking to downsize.

Work on the development is due to begin in the next few weeks, it is expected that the Hessle-based house builder will have a presence at the location for at least the next three years.

However, a sales office is due to opening within the Chris Clubley Estate Agents office on the High Street at the start of August for early reservations from plan.

Linden Homes North sales director Steve Woomble said: “We are delighted to announce this latest development and addition to our portfolio in the popular East Riding area.

“Given the early success and the ‘buy off plan’ trend at our recent new developments, we anticipate huge forward interest in the Market Weighton scheme so would advise anyone who is interested to register with us now.”

The town, with its long history dating back 750 years, is perfectly positioned between the bustling centres of Beverley and York.

The local area also offers excellent educational and recreational facilities and boasts its own eclectic history, including being the hometown of William Bradley.

William died aged 33 in 1820, and was buried inside the church. His house still stands on Market Hill and the A1079 road, which passes Market Weighton, is named Giant Bradley Way. The town boasts its own monument to him and his chair still has pride of place in the local pub.
