Home-hunters in Stourbridge, West Midlands, are being invited to take the first look around a stunning new viewhome when it opens at Taylor Wimpey’s Doulton Brook development later this month.

The four-bedroom ‘Portway’ will be unveiled during a special Open House Weekend taking place at this popular new homes collection, off High Street, Wollaston, on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August.

Visitors who come along to the development between 10am and 5pm will be the first to be able to take a close look at the superb design features and exceptional use of space within this impressive family home.

Elaine Taylor, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “While it’s possible to get a good idea of what a brand new home will be like from drawings and plans, the opportunity to step inside a viewhome allows people to get a real feel for the place and visualise how they could make it their own.

“Anyone interested in finding out how a family home at Doulton Brook could be perfect for them should pay us a visit during our Open House Weekend and see the fabulous ‘Portway’ view home for themselves.”

Ideal for growing families, the ‘Portway’ is a traditionally designed double-fronted detached home with a spacious lounge, a kitchen/family room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, a separate dining room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms and a family bathroom, and there’s also a garage and driveway parking to be found outside.

Homes of this design are priced from just £278,995 at the development, while alternative four-bedroom properties are available from £261,995 and three-bedroom houses from £197,995.

Doulton Brook enjoys a peaceful tree-lined setting, with the River Stour running through the development forming a tranquil focal point for this wonderful collection of new homes. Meanwhile, the canal is perfect for relaxing towpath walks or boat trips.

Located off Wollaston High Street, Doulton Brook is just a stone’s throw from the village’s range of amenities including a local supermarket, opticians, newsagents, a medical centre, hairdressers, a butcher and a boutique cake shop, plus a choice of places to eat and drink.

Meanwhile, the excellent shops and leisure facilities of Stourbridge town centre are also within walking distance, including two shopping centres, bars, restaurants and a leisure centre with swimming pool. Further afield, Merry Hill Shopping Park is just three miles from home offering a wealth of high street stores and boutiques.

Families will appreciate the choice of schools for all ages within close proximity of Doulton Brook, including Amblecote Primary School, which was rated ‘good’ by Ofsted in its latest inspection, Redhill School and Specialist Language College for secondary-age students and the King Edward VI College Stourbridge for sixth-formers, both rated ‘outstanding’.

Stourbridge Junction railway station is just over two miles from home for direct services to Birmingham, while the development is well located for road links to Dudley, Wolverhampton, Birmingham and the M5.

The Doulton Brook Open House Weekend is taking place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August between 10am and 5pm. The Sales and Marketing Suite is located off High Street, Wollaston, DY8 4PF, and is open daily during the same hours. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
