Barratt’s innovative Hanham Hall development in Bristol is celebrating another award – this time for its outstanding design.

The development has won the Richard Feilden Completed Project award at the prestigious 2014 Housing Design Awards.

Barratt Bristol’s managing director Richard Gregory said he was thrilled that the landmark development had once again been recognised on the national stage.

“This award is a tribute to the whole team involved in creating such a great development,’’ said Richard. “HTA Design was behind the design element of the development and the collaborative approach between Barratt, the Homes and Communities Agency and South Gloucestershire Council has created one of the country’s most important new developments.”

Hanham Hall is set within 12 acres of open space – with the Grade II listed Hanham Hall itself as a centrepiece and sales at the development have exceeded all targets with the development hailed as one of the region’s property successes.

Richard said location has been key to the success, as has the style of home Barratt is building, the environment and the fact that Hanham Hall is setting the standards for sustainable living for the future.

The development features plenty of open space with kick around areas for children, allotments, an orchard, communal outdoor areas and direct access to the Bristol to Bath cycle path.
