Samsung has announced the immediate availability of the new Samsung 11ac Access Point Series (WEA400) in the UK. The Samsung 11ac Access Point Series fully supports the latest Wi-Fi industry standard 802.11.ac and has been designed to offer higher throughput, higher capacity, and less interference, while providing easy and reliable management.

The Series consists of three products: the WEA412i which supports 2 x 2 MIMO, the WEA403i which supports 3 x 3 MIMO and the WEA403e which is an access point with external antennae and supports 3 x 3 MIMO. All models are dual concurrent radio products, covering both the 2.4 and 5GHz band.

The Samsung 11ac Access Points Series form part of the Samsung Wireless Enterprise range which includes the 11n Access Points Series (WEA300) and two enterprise grade Wireless LAN controllers, the WEC8500 and WEC8050. Both controllers offer a cost-effective network solution for businesses, with features such as L3 routing, firewalls, 10G interfaces as well as system redundancy to enhance security and minimise downtime. With integrated handover and automatic cell optimisation utilising applied LTE technology, the controllers provide optimal wireless connections for notebook PCs, tablets and smartphones. The WEC8500 is able to simultaneously manage up to 500 access points and 10,000 devices, while the smaller WEC8050 can manage up to 75 access points and 1500 devices.

Paul Templeton, General Manager of Samsung Networks UK comments “The addition of these new components to our line up shows our commitment to this product sector. Samsung is a leader in the wireless communications arena, our customers recognise the benefits of using our solutions in their businesses where integration and reliability are key factors for success.”
