On 1st September, Spice Market London is debuting “Sushi Bar @ Spice Market” in honour of Executive Chef Peter Lloyd’s travels to sister restaurant Spice Market Doha. Chef Lloyd will be joined by highly acclaimed sushi master Chef, Mohamed Didi, from Doha, to help kick-off the launch.

Sushi Bar @ Spice Market will enable diners to savour popular offerings from Doha such as: crispy shredded crab; spicy tuna; shrimp tempura and the signature Spice Market roll. The menu will also offer a selection of handcrafted classic sushi and sashimi such as; BBQ eel (unagi), tuna (maguro), salmon (sake) and shrimp (ebi), in addition to classic items from its Raw Bar.

A selection of beers and innovative sake cocktails, including:  a sake-infused “Cucumber Ginger Punch” made with aromatic ingredients, such as: cucumber, ginger, mint, along with Akitabare ‘Koshiki Junzukuri.’  An alluringly dry sake with a mild mixture of earthy notes on the nose, the choice expertly complements the sushi bar menu. Spice Market’s signature cocktails include a Spicy Thai Mary, Ginger Margarita and Kumquat Mojito and beers from Tiger, Asahi, Singha, and Kingfisher will be available to enhance the debut of the popular sushi menu.

Located in the W London – Leicester Square hotel, Spice Market was created by Michelin starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and is the sister restaurant of the iconic Spice Market in New York’s Meatpacking District. The menu is inspired by Jean-Georges’ travels around Southeast Asia and their vibrant street food scene.

The striking interiors of Spice Market offer a unique mix between the ethnic authentic old world feel of Spice Market NY and the contemporary architecture of the new building on Leicester Square. Featuring warm shades of gold, copper, chrome and wood, the eclectic and intimate design includes a striking 24 metre-long wall of colours, flavours and fragrances of the Southeast Asian dishes served at Spice Market, as well as over 600 custom-designed shimmering wok lamps. Set over two floors, Spice Market also hosts a cocktail lounge and private room which can accommodate 40 covers.

The Sushi Bar @ Spice Market will be available from 28th August.
