Soak up the scenery on two wheels

Following on from the success of its popular Cycle Saigon to Bangkok itinerary, Adventure Worldwide has launched a brand new trip entitled Cycle Hanoi to Luang Prabang, the first departure for which will be on 14 November (with further departures throughout the winter months).

The new cycling adventure provides a chance to experience some of the best of Southeast Asia and explore using one of the most gratifying modes of transport on a journey through the scenic mountainous rice paddies of North Vietnam towards Laos and a ride alongside the Mekong River to reach Luang Prabang.

The daily cycling distances are fairly modest and within the reach of most people who can ride a bike and have a reasonable level of fitness (plus there is also the option of hopping aboard the following support vehicle for a lift anytime you feel a breather!).

Commencing in Hanoi, highlights of the holiday will include:

Discovering remote villages and beautiful countryside as you gradually progress along the route at a gentle pace, which means seeing far more on two wheels than by bus, train or plane

Travelling off-the-beaten track, away from the regular tourist spots, to really get under the skin of Vietnam and Laos, becoming part of the scenery rather than simply being an observer

Enjoying a homestay in the Vietnamese hills to experience a life that hasn’t changed for hundreds of years

Tucking into simple yet delicious and genuine Asian food throughout the two- week trip

The holiday costs from £1095 pp (two sharing) which includes land transportation, nine nights’ accommodation, most meals, bike, cycle helmet and support vehicle.

Flight-inclusive prices are available for all trips on request.
