The much-anticipated launch of Lovell’s Lymington Mews site in Dagenham saw over 70 people, including 19 buyers who had reserved off plan, visit the development and snap up the available homes during its hugely successful launch weekend.

The three plots that were launched were instantly reserved and there are now only a few homes remaining that are due to be finished and ready to be occupied during 2015, which are set to be released in the coming weeks. Greg Kaye, regional sales manager for Lovell, says: “I am thrilled with the response we received to Lymington Mews. There’s been a huge amount of interest in the development and although we knew the homes would be popular, even we have been surprised by the incredible amount of interest they have received from genuine buyers.”

From the moment Lovell opened the doors at Lymington Mews, there was a steady stream of visitors keen to get their first glimpse of the two stunning showrooms: the two-bedroom Teal and four-bedroom Emerald. As well as enjoying complimentary cupcakes, visitors were able to learn more about the development, which is situated on a former gravel and landfill site and described as one of the largest ever regeneration projects in Dagenham.

The £78.4 million scheme will deliver 418 homes on public land released by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. These will consist of 259 homes from Lovell for private sale, 116 homes for affordable rent and 43 homes for shared ownership through Home Group as part of the Mayor’s First Steps programme. Designed by architects Pollard Thomas Edwards, the homes are a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses and one- and two-bedroom flats.

Following the incredible success of the launch, Lovell invited other interested buyers to visit the site the following weekend. The second phase of development of approximately 293 homes is set to start in 2015. All homes at Lymington Fields will meet Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes incorporating a range of energy efficiency measures to reduce bills for residents.
