Hull homebuyers are being invited to what could be their last opportunity to buy a brand new home at Holtby Gardens, in Cottingham, using Help to Buy.

With Redrow’s development now in its final phase and the Government backed initiative proving very popular, the window for buying a new home here with only a 5% mortgage and the aid of a 20% equity loan could be about to close.

All the more reason for would-be homebuyers to join Redrow for its special Help to Buy open day on Sunday, September 14 at Holtby Gardens.

As well as taking a good look at the last few homes remaining, visitors will be able to talk to a new homes mortgage specialist about their options. He’ll be able to review their finances, assess how much they can afford to borrow and guide them through the buying process.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), said: “We’re inviting buyers to come and take a look at the homes available and while here, they’ll have access to free, impartial advice about Help to Buy.

“After a quick chat with the financial adviser we’ll be able to tell them what they can afford and they could be pleasantly surprised by the outcome. A Help to Buy equity loan reduces the initial purchase price by 20% and is interest free for the first five year. A deposit of only 5% should be sufficient for people to secure the home of their choice and a 75% mortgage means their payments should be more manageable. All in all it makes a brand new home at Holtby Gardens a much more affordable dream than people may realise.”

Redrow has a small selection of three and four-bedroom detached homes remaining at the popular development. Prices start from £233,950 for a three-bedroom ‘Warwick’, which reduces to as little as £187,160 when using Help to Buy.

Located on Dunswell Road, in Cottingham, Holtby Gardens is ideally situated close to some beautiful countryside with easy access to fantastic local amenities including a good choice of eateries and stores on Cottingham’s two Victorian high streets. Hull and Beverley can each be reached in less than 10 minutes by train from the local station.

The Help to Buy open day will take place at Holtby Gardens, Dunswell Road, on Sunday, September 14 between 11am-4pm.
