A new collection of family homes set for sale in Kempsey, Worcestershire, is perfect for families looking for a small select development, according to the local agent who has been appointed to help market it.

Carole Bradley, local director of Connells’ Worcester branch, has linked up with Elan Homes to market Derrington Mews, off Main Road, Kempsey, which is due to go on sale in the autumn.

“Derrington Mews is a very appealing collection of just 10 homes in an attractive and sought after village location,” said Carole.

“Elan create fabulous homes. The standard of the build is very high and families will be drawn by the traditional exterior design and spacious layouts.

“Kempsey is such a lovely village, it’s the kind of place people move to and never want to leave. It’s always been popular and I expect there to be strong local interest for these newly built homes as well as interest from people looking to relocate from nearby towns.”

Derrington Mews will feature eight houses for private sale and two affordable bungalows. The development’s name honours Major General Edward William Derrington Bell who was awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery in action during the Crimean War in the 1850s. He was born in Essex but his family home was in Kempsey and he is buried in Kempsey Churchyard.

Andreas Nippe, sales director for Elan Homes in the South, said: “We are delighted to have Connells on board to market our new venture in Kempsey. We’ve enjoyed success in Worcestershire in recent years and, with the local property market looking very buoyant, we hope that Derrington Mews will prove to be just as popular.”

Building work is due to start soon and the first homes will go on sale in early autumn.

Initial prices are from £270,000 for a three-bedroom bungalow and £340,000 for a four-bedroom detached property.
