After great sales success, Redrow is warning buyers that it’s the last chance to buy a new home at two of its popular Preston ventures.

At both Foxlow Manor in Longton and The Chase, in Walmer Bridge, there is now only a handful of homes available so buyers are being urged to move quickly if they want to snap one up.

Foxlow Manor has just one house design left, the four-bedroom ‘Harrogate’, and at The Chase, the four-bedroom ‘Stratford’ and ‘Oxford’ remain.

The sales success is partly down to the uptake of various financial incentives. The Government’s Help to Buy scheme has helped those who haven’t had a substantial deposit, while Redrow’s Mastermove helped customers sell an existing property – paying their estate agent’s fees into the bargain; and part exchange has been a bonus for those who want a quick, easy move without having to worry about finding a buyer for their old home.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), said: “We’ve had a great deal of positive feedback about both developments and that’s reflected in the sales success. With all of the different types of help available, families are finding it much easier to upsize and they can find a property that better suits their circumstances. The Help to Buy equity loans are fantastic as they can reduce the initial cost of one of our stylish new homes by tens of thousands of pounds."

For example, the remaining four-bedroom detached Harrogate home at Foxlow Manor, is on the market at £344,995. Factor in a Help to Buy equity loan and the initial cost is reduced to just £275,996, including a 5% customer deposit and 75% mortgage. The loan is interest free for five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or when they resell.

For those with an existing property sell, part exchange could be the ideal way to speed up the moving process. Generally speaking customers must be selling a property that’s worth at least 35% less than the home they want to buy.

“If the price differential is suitable, Redrow will effectively act as a cash buyer – buying their home so they can buy one or ours. If circumstances mean part exchange isn’t an option there’s still our Mastermove service which provides plenty of help and pays the estate agent’s fees,” Claire explained. “But buyers need to hurry if they want one of these lovely family homes.”

Located on Old School Drive, Foxlow Manor enjoys an enviable setting near the heart of Longton village. There are good local amenities within walking distance including a Booths supermarket and other shops, plus a choice of schools; while the city of Preston is within easy reach.

And The Chase is located off Liverpool Road in Walmer Bridge, a popular residential area with a good range of local schools and facilities nearby including a supermarket and traditional country pub.

The current Preston ventures may be close to selling out but, not too far away, in Garstang, Redrow is building a collection of three and four-bedroom homes which will become available at the end of October. To register interest go to redrow.co.uk/developments/canal-view-garstang.
