Jewellery Quarter apartments launch this month to meet demand for homes in the city

Delph Property Group has announced it is bringing forward the launch of its Jewellery Quarter apartments after figures showing it is cheaper to buy than rent property in the Midlands sparked a surge in demand for city centre properties.

After investing £16 million in the site earlier this year, Delph has already seen an increase in interest from potential buyers and investors following figures released by Halifax that show home owners could save nearly £1,000 per year compared to those who rent. This along with the expected rise in property prices over the next few years means first time buyers and home owners are being urged to act now to make the most of the opportunity.

Named Metalworks, the new Delph development will launch off plan sales of its 105 one, two and three bedroom apartments at the end of September, but the Group is encouraging buyers to register their interest online now to avoid disappointment.

Richard Forman, Sales Director at Delph Property Group, said: “The Jewellery Quarter is a vibrant and thriving region of the city, and we’re delighted to be part of the regeneration of this much loved area. As real hotspot in Birmingham, we have seen a big interest in the property available here, so are excited to be able to meet this increase in demand.

“The Midlands offers real attractive buying opportunities and Metalworks is ideal for young professionals as the area benefits from a great choice of local amenities and excellent transport links.”

The launch comes as a result of a demand for high quality homes in Birmingham, supported by the City Council’s ambitious growth agenda to introduce 51,100 new homes to the area by 2031 and reinvent Birmingham as a world class city with significant investment in improved connectivity and new residential communities.

Kathryn Molloy, director at Maguire Jackson, said: ““The Metalworks development is a welcome addition to Birmingham City Centre, in an area that has proved to be very popular with house hunters already. It’s great to see developers on the ground in such a prominent area of the city and we look forward to seeing what is set to be some very impressive apartments.”

Located in the heart of the city’s vibrant Jewellery Quarter the first residents are expected to move in from April 2015.
