DVLA personalised registrations serve up a sale for the ladies

15th September 2014 Print

DVLA Personalised Registrations has cooked up an auction for the ladies… with numerous female names among the 1,500 registrations being auctioned over three consecutive days at Twickenham, the home of English rugby, commencing on Wednesday, September 24.

Registered bidders attending the auction in person also have the added bonus of being able to enjoy a tour of the historic Twickenham rugby stadium.

Though it’s hard to imagine that CO11 EEN - which sold for a staggering £38,850 last November - will be toppled as the Agency’s most expensive registration related to a lady’s name sold over recent times, there are several included in the Autumn sale which could well give it a run for its money.

Heading the list of lady-related names has to be CA12 RLA, CH10 LOE, and RE63 KAH which hold reserves of £900 apiece. COR 111N, JAN 5X, JOY 1W, KYM 1H, LOL 4N and LOL 4R are among the scores of others while a mention also has to be given to VER 2A.

The men, too, are being accommodated, especially if your name is Adrian, Graham and Steve with ADR 214N, GR14 HAM and ST11 EVE available with reserves of £400, £1,000 and £900 respectively.

Jody Davies, DVLA Personalised Registrations’ Events Manager, said: “There’s no denying it that personalised registrations have always been popular with the ladies and next week’s sale will be no exception with the line up of lots we have put together.

“We were overjoyed at the interest surrounding CO11 EEN and, with the way events are shaping up, next week’s sale at Twickenham looks equally as exciting.”

So far, the three auctions staged by DVLA Personalised Registrations in 2014 – the Agency’s 25th Anniversary of selling personalised registrations – have raised a staggering £10.4 million.

Ms Davies, added: “2014 has been yet another hugely successful year for our auction programme. The sums generated, not just surrounding our headline-grabbling high valued registrations, but also those listed with relatively low reserves, have been phenomenal.”

DVLA Personalised Registrations’ forthcoming auction will consist of a total of 1,500 registrations, all chosen to offer a selection to suit all tastes, styles and budgets including: 8000 A (reserve - £3,000), ARV 4L (£400), BA12NES (£900), BAY 111S (£400), DOB 850N (£400), ESM 177H (£400), EVO 1T (£700), FER 550X (£400),  FER 612S (£400), 88 GSX (£450), HA12 LEY (£900), HA12 VEY (£1,000), HA13 RRY (£600), JE11 WEL (£500), JTR 15H (£400), KEY 106K (£350), K618 SON (£350), LAR 2A (£450), LE63 ENDS (£900), MA11 SON (£900), MAC 80X (£400), MOU 111D (£400), MRB 188Y (£400), MY11 LES (£900), M151 NGH (£350), NOL 11N (£450),  26 O (£4,000), OBR 213N (£350), 7 ORR (£1,500) 23 OOO (£3,000), POR 996X (£400), 996 RS (£2,400), ROB 850N (£400), 5000 S (£3,000), ST11 EVE (£900),   TEB 881T (£400), THU 210W (£400), T111 KES (£400), 770 W (£2,600), WHE 44T (£400), 80 XED (£450), X81 ACK (£400), YRE 64N (£400).
