Five star housebuilder Barratt Homes is set to unveil a new range of homes at its popular Bluebell Meadows development in Newport this weekend (Saturday September 27).

Launched 12 months ago, the development has been a success story on the Isle of Wight with the Barratt Homes quality and style proving a successful formula with a wide range of buyers looking to make their home on the island.

“Demand for our homes in Newport is always high and we are delighted to be launching this new phase,’’ said sales director Michelle Storer. “In the last year we have provided 82 new homes and we are delighted to be launching the next phase of homes.’’

Barratt, which was recently named a five star housebuilder for a record fifth year in a row, is set to build around 50 new homes in the new phase, with the development offering a choice of two and three bedroom homes.

“These homes are from Barratt’s latest design range with the choice of properties set to attract first time buyers and families looking to move up the housing ladder,’’ said Michelle. “Some designs are brand new to the island and a number of them will overlook the country park.’’

Michelle said buyers will benefit from traditional looking exteriors combined with modern, airy interiors; bigger windows to increase natural light and more flexibility in how the available space is used.

Two showhomes will open this weekend to demonstrate the style and quality of Barratt Homes.

The two bedroom Ashford showhome features open plan living with a large family lounge/dining area with French doors to the garden. The kitchen is fitted with contemporary units and the two double bedrooms on the first floor share a family bathroom.

For buyers looking for a little more space the three bedroom Bampton showhome has been designed with the modern family in mind. There is an open plan lounge and dining room together with a modern kitchen on the ground floor. Upstairs are two bedroom bedrooms, a single and the family bathroom.

Work on the development is overseen by one of the country’s top site managers with Adie Morgan a two time winner in the prestigious Pride in the Job Quality Awards.

The awards are the most coveted in the housebuilding industry. They are awarded after the construction standard setting body National House-Building Council (NHBC) carries out a series of spot check site inspections to select the best-organised and best-quality housing developments.
