According to research by BBA, the UK’s leading association for the banking sector, gross mortgage borrowing is 24% higher than in June last year at £11.2 billion. Since the turn of the year, the overall mortgage stock has started to rise as stronger demand feeds through for new homes. Testament to this is Chiswick Point where Bellway Homes’ development has already sold 41 of the 91 apartments to investors and owner occupiers over the last few months.

The research also highlighted net borrowing on personal loans and overdrafts is now expanding instead of card borrowing. “Improved lending has given Chiswick buyers the confidence to purchase a new home or to make an investment into this popular leafy suburb,” Zoe Dobbs, sales manager of Bellway Homes North London explains, “As the development is situated in this highly popular area of West London, there has been a lot of interest locally, as it fits the criteria many buyers are looking for; stylish open-plan living accommodation with a balcony, but also the added benefit of a concierge service.”

The exclusive collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments and three bedroom penthouses at Chiswick Point reflect Bellway’s uncompromising approach to design, build quality and finish. The carefully considered layouts make the best use of light and space and this same attention to detail is evident throughout, demonstrated in everything from the choice of materials to the stylish appliances in the kitchens and contemporary sanitaryware in the bathrooms.

Each apartment includes a balcony, with most boasting fantastic views of the Gunnersbury Triangle. Other key features include underfloor heating, a video entry system and access to a concierge service.

With the entrance just a few yards from Chiswick Park tube station, the Gunnersbury Triangle is a classic ‘railway triangle’ in between three curving railway lines. This peaceful woodland oasis is a wilderness close to the city. The reserve supports a varied population of plants, birds, amphibians, insects and other wildlife and is the perfect setting for walks and picnics.

Renowned for its quiet riverside location and vibrant local scene, Chiswick boasts an exceptional range of local amenities, including top restaurants, cafes, pubs and delicatessens. Shoppers will find independent retailers and high street chains on nearby Chiswick High Road, while those seeking open-space will find several parks nearby in addition to the adjacent Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve. There are the historic gardens at nearby Chiswick House to explore, Kew Gardens with the world's largest collection of living plants and Gunnersbury Park with a miniature golf course.

Chiswick is also a popular choice of destination for young budding professionals. Located only a stone’s throw away is Chiswick Business Park, one of the country’s most dynamic business campuses and is frequently named one of the UK’s Top 50 workplaces in the UK. Businesses enjoying the perfect ‘enjoy-work’ balance include CBS News, Starbucks Coffee Company, Paramount Pictures and PepsiCo.

The apartments at Chiswick Point are also well positioned to benefit from the excellent transport links the area has to offer, with nearby Chiswick Park and Gunnersbury tube stations served by the District line and overground Gunnersbury (North London line) and Chiswick (Hounslow loop line) railway stations offering services to Waterloo. Junction 1 of the A4 is less than a mile away, with onward connection to the M4 providing access to Heathrow Airport and the country.

Prices at Chiswick Point start from £599,995. For more information, visit chiswickpoint.com.
