According to research by the Kingfisher European Home Report on attitudes to home improvement, more than 77% of those surveyed said their current homes needs adapting to changing family needs. It was also revealed that 22% of householders said they needed to create more space, whilst 46% said they would like a home office.

Potential purchasers looking to make the move to a home which offers the flexibility families need, should visit the four bedroom Rosefinch housetype at Countryside’s Stonechat Mews development in the village of Stone, North Kent. Featuring a flexible layout over three storeys, they are ideal to adapt to the needs of growing families.

Andrew Loveday, Sales and Marketing Director at Countryside comments: “We are increasingly noticing a trend of homeowners wanting their property to grow with their lifestyle, adapting to suit their different needs over a number of years. The Rosefinch housetype is particularly ideal for those who wish to be able to adapt the rooms to their needs. The design layout is set over three storeys offering more space, whilst the guest bedroom could be easily converted into a home office or separate living area, providing more opportunities to use the home in their own way.”

Priced from £375,950 the Rosefinch is an attractive property set over three storeys. On the ground floor, the entrance to the home leads to a contemporary fitted kitchen which comes equipped with the full range of integrated appliances. Also accessible is a separate downstairs cloakroom. Adjacent to the kitchen is the large living / dining area with double doors leading out into the spacious garden.

On the first floor, two single bedrooms have access to a family bathroom, which boasts quality white sanitaryware, chrome accessories and ceramic tiling with luxurious finishes. Also included on this floor is the guest double bedroom, providing the flexible option to use it as a separate living area for the children, or as a home office.

A retreat on the third floor, the master bedroom with an adjoining en suite, offers the perfect getaway from the rest of the house. Again this bedroom could be easily swapped with the guest bedroom, as older children may need a bedroom on a separate floor.

Each property enjoys stunning views of the former hospital, Old Stone House, has flooring fitted throughout, dedicated parking spaces, with some properties offering a double garage or car port. Outside, the homes feature a fully turfed rear garden with patio.
