Now could be the perfect time to secure a three-bedroom home at Southampton’s popular Mayflower Mews development in Sholing thanks to a fantastic ‘stamp duty paid’ offer from developer Lovell.

Subject to terms and conditions, the company is currently offering to pay stamp duty on selected three-bedroom properties at Mayflower Mews enabling home-seekers to save up to £7,950!

A host of advantages offered by Mayflower Mews include its location in a friendly, residential neighbourhood on the eastern side of the city. There’s plenty of green space locally with Mayfield Park and the Miller's Pond nature reserve both nearby while at the same time, it’s only a short drive along the A3025 and across the River Itchen into Southampton city centre with its many destination shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. The M27 is just three miles away, making it an ideal spot for anyone commuting east or west.

There’s already been strong interest in Mayflower Mews with the first release of properties being snapped up earlier this year. The Government-backed Help to Buy scheme which is open to all borrowers, not just to first-time buyers, is available on all properties at the scheme. Through Help to Buy, purchasers need only find a five per cent deposit to secure a new home, backed with a 20 per cent equity loan from the Government which is interest-free for the first five years.

A number of homes are currently available in the development’s highly attractive gated courtyard. They include the stylish Allerton three-bedroom house type, starting from a Help to Buy price of £204,000 (full sale price £255,000). This semi-detached property, with parking, offers ground-floor accommodation including a spacious living / dining room with French doors to the garden, kitchen (featuring a Bosch gas hob, built-in oven and cooker hood), cloakroom and hall, plus useful storage space. Upstairs is the master bedroom, with ensuite and built-in wardrobe, plus two other bedrooms and the family bathroom.

Lovell field sales manager Julie Bowen says: “Mayflower Mews is a great place to live and our stamp duty paid offer makes buying a brand-new home there an even more attractive prospect. This is an excellent time to visit our show property and marketing suite and see for yourself the high-quality design and finishing of these beautifully designed properties, as well as fully appreciate the brilliant location, just a short drive from the city centre.”

In addition to three-bedroom houses, Mayflower Mews also has a stylish range of apartments, including a number with a view over Southampton. One-bedroom homes start from a Help to Buy price of £124,000 (full price £155,000), while two-bedroom apartments are available from £135,960 with Help to Buy (full price £169,950).

All homes come with a ten-year NHBC warranty and the knowledge that Lovell has won consistently positive feedback from its customers. The company has once again received the Gold Award for customer satisfaction presented by In-house Research following a national independent survey of homebuyers.

The marketing suite at Mayflower Mews, Laxton Close, Southampton SO19 9JA is open on Monday from 11am to 5pm and from Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. For more information, visit lovellnewhomes.co.uk.
