The luxurious Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah is inviting guests to experience the festive spirit in Istanbul, with an exclusive few days of treats and Christmas shopping.

Situated in the very heart of the city, the historic hotel offers guests the opportunity to enjoy two nights in a stunning Deluxe Pera View Room, as they explore Istanbul’s best shopping destinations including Istiklal Street and the Grand Bazaar. During the cold winter season, the streets of the city come alive – visitors can buy roasted chestnuts from street-sellers and discover bargains at the many shops and market stalls.

As part of the ‘Christmas Shopping’ experience, Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah is also offering exciting activities to ensure guests get a taste of the real Istanbul, including a true Ottoman Hammam retreat and full Turkish Bath Ritual at Pera Spa.

The weekend will also include a half-day shopping tour with a personal shopping guide to introduce guests to locations including Beyoglu, Galata and the Grand Bazaar. Guests will also receive 10% discount coupons for Brandroom and Harvey Nichols department stores.

Since Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah first opened its doors in 1895, its elegant interior and exterior has drawn visitors from all over the world. Nearby transport links make it easy to explore the city and the hotel is well-placed for both the modern centre and the historic old town, making it the perfect destination for business and leisure. Having played host to famous faces throughout the years including Agatha Christie, Ernest Hemingway, Greta Garbo, Mata Hari and Sarah Bernhardt, Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah was also frequented by Ataturk; the founder of modern Turkey. In 1981, his original room was restored and nationally recognised as being a unique historical feature, resulting in the hotel gaining status as Istanbul’s only Museum Hotel.
