A home in Solihull could be the key to a long and happy life according to UK research.

Solihull topped the best place to live poll in a Quality of Life index carried out by uSwitch. The research measured 24 different factors ranging from life expectancy, salaries and disposable income to broadband speeds and essential household costs like fuel bills and food.

The research highlighted that the town benefited from above average broadband speeds and lower insurance premiums and also with life expectancy in Solihull being 81 for men and 84 for women you could expect many years in your brand new home.

Solihull is one of the Midlands most prosperous towns making it an ideal lifestyle choice when considering where to live.

Extensive redevelopment in the town centre has attracted leading retail and leisure brands which has in turn boosted local employment.

Andy Peters, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, welcomed the ‘best place to live’ accolade saying: “Solihull has always been a sought after place to live and we are very proud to launch our latest development, The Acorns in the Solihull borough of Shirley.”

The development will officially open to the public on 18th October and with over 2,600 people already in touch asking for more information demand is expected to be high.

Andy added: “The Acorns is a fantastic development close to excellent road links, an abundance of good schools and five universities, making it perfect for first time buyers, families and professionals alike.

“And, of course being located on High Street, just ten minutes from the Touchwood Shopping Centre and Solihull town centre, home owners don’t have to travel far to enjoy the fabulous shopping, leisure and dining on offer in the cosmopolitan town.”
