Five Star Housebuilder David Wilson Homes is helping even more people take their next step on the property ladder at the Kings Down development in Bridgwater with just a five per cent deposit thanks to the Help to Buy scheme.

Recent figures reveal that Help to Buy has been used to support the sale of around 50,000 homes in England and David Wilson Homes sales director Louise Ware said the scheme has been a great boost to buyers looking to move up the housing ladder.

“Many people think that government schemes are only available to first time buyers but Help to Buy is proving just as vital to those moving to a larger home,’’ she said.

“With Help to Buy, moving up the housing ladder has never been easier for second steppers as it dramatically improves the prospect of owning a home or moving home, as it reduces the deposit required, which can be one of the biggest hurdles to moving up the housing ladder, and also enables qualifying customers to access low cost mortgage finance.”

The scheme is currently available on the four bedroom homes at Kings Down and Louise said it provides new build homebuyers with a 20 per cent equity loan from the Government, with no interest payable for the first five years for homes valued up to £600,000.

David Wilson Homes also offer buyers the added benefit of an exclusive five year warranty on all of its premium homes meaning there is even less to worry about for the new buyer.

Kings Down is situated near to the village of Bawdrip on the south-side of the Polden Hills and to the north-east of Bridgwater. The development is within easy reach of schools, including the new Willowdown school on site, shops and other local amenities and is also within touching distance of towns and cities such as Taunton and Bristol and is just three miles from the motorway.
