More than a third of Redrow customers have used Help to Buy to make buying a new home easier to afford and this weekend buyers in Sittingbourne can get a taster of the valuable incentive’s benefits.

In the last financial year 35% of Redrow customers bought their homes using the Government backed equity loan scheme.

Keen to ensure Kent buyers don’t miss out, Redrow will be dishing out Help to Buy advice at Archers Park in Sittingbourne, from noon to 4pm on Saturday (October 25), alongside a delicious hog roast.

Kerry Jenkins, sales director for Redrow Homes (South East), said: “Launched just last month, Archers Park offers a good choice of properties ranging from apartments to substantial family homes, all of which can potentially be purchased with Help to Buy. The scheme has been a real boost to customer’s borrowing power across the country and was used by 35% of Redrow customers in the last year.

“Available to both first time buyers and those taking their next step on the property ladder, Help to Buy makes homeownership easier to afford with the aid of an equity loan for up to 20% of the price.

“Crucially, the loan is interest free for five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available. As the equity loan reduces the initial outlay, customers buying in this way should typically only need a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage.”

Current prices at Archers Park start from £160,995 for a two-bedroom apartment. This reduces to an initial outlay of £128,796 with Help to Buy. The remaining 20% share is covered by the equity loan.

Located on Staplehurst Road, on the edge of Sittingbourne, Archers Par is ideally placed for access to the countryside, the coast or the capital as it’s within easy reach of the M2 and M20; while trains from the local station offer journey times of just over an hour to London.

The town centre has a thriving high street and with a good choice of schools in the area, Archers Park is well suited to those with children.

To find out more about Help to Buy and enjoy a tasty lunch ‘on the house’, visit Archers Park this Saturday (October 25). For more information, visit redrow.co.uk/archerspark.
