Ghoulish games and frightful fun will be the order of the day this Halloween when the doors creak open for a spooky event at Taylor Wimpey’s Wichelstowe development in Swindon, Wiltshire.

On Saturday 1st November, the Sales Information Centre at this frightfully popular development will be transformed with creepy decorations and trick-or-treat goodies for little monsters to enjoy, while would-be buyers can take a look at the spine-tingling selection of homes on offer.

Prizes will be handed out to children dressed in the scariest witch costume and also for the best carved pumpkin, while an apple bobbing competition will see the winner bag themselves a choice of incentives when they reserve a home over this weekend.

Nikki Gibson, Associate Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, says: “There will be plenty of ghostly goings-on at Wichelstowe this Halloween for those brave enough to visit.

“We’ve got wickedly wonderful fun for the kids and some shockingly good offers and incentives on brand new homes. So make sure you come along with your best carved pumpkin in tow, and join in the fun – if you dare!”

A selection of beautiful new two, three, four and five-bedroom homes is now available at Wichelstowe, with prices starting from as little as £145,000.

The four-bedroom ‘Easton’ semi-detached house is on sale from just £235,000 and features a living/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, with a kitchen/breakfast room and a guest cloakroom completing the ground-floor layout.

Upstairs, the first-floor landing leads to three bedrooms and a main bathroom while an en-suite master bedroom occupies the entire top floor. Outside, there’s driveway parking and a car port.

To make choosing one of these high-quality homes even more appealing, Taylor Wimpey offers a variety of helpful homebuyer incentives.

Help to Buy, for example, enables eligible first-time buyers and those with a property to sell to secure a Government loan for up to 20% of their new home’s full price – so they only need a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

The scheme is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000 and there’s no salary cap for Help to Buy customers.

Close to Swindon’s town centre – with its array of shopping, leisure and entertainment opportunities – the railway station and the M4 motorway, the new community of Wichelstowe offers something for everybody, from first-time buyers and growing families to commuters and the newly retired.

This sustainable new neighbourhood will eventually comprise 4,500 homes plus schools, community facilities, shops, open spaces, footpaths and cycleways and even a 4.5km extension to the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal.

The Wichelstowe Halloween event will take place on Saturday 1st November between 10am and 5pm.

The Sales Information Centre is located in Trecastle Road, off Croft Road, Swindon, and is open daily between the same times (Mondays 1pm to 5pm). Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
