Double-Michelin starred chef, Tom Kerridge, joins BBC Two’s Food and Drink. Taking the reins from Michel Roux Jnr, Tom will be sharing some of his favourite recipes and kitchen secrets and getting us talking about what we eat and drink.

Suggesting a range of liquid accompaniments to compliment Tom’s dishes is wine expert, Joe Wadsack. Joe studied wine-making in Bordeaux and has since worked as a wine buyer and consultant for a number of leading supermarket chains. He is no stranger to television with his role as Richard and Judy’s wine expert on Channel 4 as well as his own series Great Wine Walks for UKTV’s Good Food Channel.

Joe says: “I feel excited and honoured to follow in the footsteps of Oz Clarke, Jilly Goolden and Kate Goodman, and have the opportunity to arm the country with the knowledge to navigate the walls and walls of choice available in shops today, not just of wine, but the fantastic burgeoning choice of beers and ciders available today. Drinking well has become an intrinsic part of the eating well, and I set out to prove that it doesn't require a big bank balance to enjoy what's in your glass as much as what's on our plate.”

“Tom is one of the most exciting food talents around – really knowledgeable, fantastic food and an all-round great guy. He’s really enthusiastic about getting stuck into Food And Drink and moving it on. Both he and Joe will really build on the series as the place to talk about food and drink,” says Robi Dutta, Executive Producer.

Food And Drink will be back in the new year with an entertaining, revamped format. Tom’s special guests will include Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, the Hairy Bikers and Raymond Blanc. This 10-part series is produced by BBC Features and the series producer is Hannah Corneck.

Lindsay Bradbury, Commissioning Editor for Features, says: “It’s an exciting time for Food And Drink. In Britain, we’ve never been more obsessed with food - and where it comes from - and we’ve got the stellar chef Tom Kerridge fronting the series. Together with the new drink expert Joe Wadsack, it promises to be a lively look at how and what we eat today.”
