Volvo Truck and Bus Limited has installed a bulk AdBlue dispenser on-site at its Headquarters in Warwick. Volvo Truck and Bus Limited has installed a heated bulk AdBlue dispenser on-site at the firm’s Wedgnock Lane Headquarters in Warwick – the first of its type in the UK.

The installation, which features a 2,500 litre capacity tank made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), is being used for metered filling of company-owned demonstrators and evaluation vehicles that need to meet the new Euro-4 emission legislation introduced this month.

The installation was handled by AdBlue manufacturer Yara, whose Air-1 brand product is distributed by the Volvo Dealer Network in the UK and Ireland. The tank is under cover in an existing brick built bay behind the main offices. Metering is carried out by a Turbine Flowmeter with the display inside the kiosk indicating both the volume dispensed per transaction and the total cumulative usage. A 12 metre dispensing reel ensures that AdBlue tanks on either side of vehicles can be filled.

Uniquely, the pump cabinet and dispenser are heated and the tank features a ‘tank in tank’ double skin with the space between acting as the bund. A level sensor is fitted together with a display and audible overfill protection. The bund is also protected by a leakage sensor.
