Homebuilder says buy big before lending caps

With a number of banks looking to introduce lending caps on Help to Buy, developer Taylor Wimpey is urging eligible purchasers to snap up their dream home in Cheshire sooner rather than later.

The government-backed initiative currently allows buyers to purchase properties valued at up to £600,000 with just five per cent deposit, while also benefitting from a 20 per cent equity loan.

That figure is reportedly going to reduce in the coming year, and Taylor Wimpey advises Chester home-hunters interested in its Crown Fields development to take advantage of the scheme now for the best value.

Stuart Craig, sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West explains: “Crown Fields is perhaps our most luxurious development, offering all five bedroom detached designs in the sought-after Huntington area.

“Help to Buy has already played a key role in aiding a number of customers here to land their dream home with just a five per cent deposit; and we’d encourage anyone looking to utilise the scheme, to do so sooner rather than later.”

Homes at Crown Fields are available from £475,000, or just £380,000 when bought with the government scheme.

Stuart adds: “Among the fantastic styles currently on offer at Crown Fields, we also have the Oscroft show home for sale; meaning one lucky buyer could bag a ready-made home with just a five per cent deposit.

“We have a fantastic sales team on-hand Thursday to Monday, who will be able to advise you on your options and demonstrate how getting that dream home is easier than ever.”
